They say everything’s bigger in Texas, even the love stories. And they’re not just talking about the fairy-tale- romance-novel kind of love stories. They mean the real ones. Ruthie and Jon began their journey together as husband and wife in a beautifully warm, romantic venue located in Austin, Texas. Throughout the day and into the evening they were surrounded by loved ones and friends. Choosing to speak from their hearts, the couple decided to write their own vows. Family members were asked to read passages from The Bible, followed by a dear friend singing “Heavenly Day.” Sweet tears dripped from the eyes of both the Bride and Groom as they promised each other their future together forever.

Ruthie and Jon selected warm creams and oranges for the colors of their wedding and reception. The colors were incorporated throughout the flowers, centerpieces, and ambiance lighting. After the ceremony, the venue’s ballroom was transformed into a magnificent banquet hall and dance floor. In the center of each table manzita trees were draped with crystals and flowers and hanging candles. Orange uplighting lined ballroom, adding a warm glow to the reception.

Ruthie and Jon hoped to bring a splash of their vibrant personalities into their wedding day. They did so through their choice of music. After h’ourdeouvers, wine, cocktails, a delicious meal, and of course wedding cake, the guests spent hours upon hours dancing! From pop to hip hop to Frank Sinatra the guests never left the dance floor. Around 11:00pm, at the request of the Bride and Groom, mini hamburger “Sliders” were served to keep their guests’ energy up and feet dancing!

And cue the music! “Dream a Little Dream of Me” by The Mama’s and the Papa’s begins to play as Bride and Groom step out onto the dance floor. From the lightbulb ceiling overhead, to the sound of Frank Sonatra floating through the air, it was as if the years had been rolled back for Sara and Will’s picture perfect wedding reception. The Bride wore a beautiful 1950s vintage  inspired wedding gown, with antique-styled handcrafted jewlery. Her bouquet was made from authentic 1960’s metal flower pins, which she assembled herself. The groom wore a black tux, adorning a pearl and feather boutonniere. The bridesmaids’ bouquets were also fashioned with large pearls and daises meant to mirror the Bride’s bouquet.

It was as if wedding guests had been invited to step into a Mid-20th Century dream! A 1940’s Packard car greeted the loved ones as they entered the outdoor venue.  A Candy Shoppe was constructed and colorful treats were served from a variety of vintage glassware. The wedding cake was frosted with aqua and cream colored icing. The cake topper was a handcrafted design made uniquely for the Bride and Groom. Sara and Will’s reception was a beautiful fun-filled affair, with nothing short of 1940′s classic car and pearl earrings.

Personality is one thing that makes every wedding day so fun and unique. No two couples are the same. For Becca and Derek, personality was a big part of what they hoped would shine through their Country Club Reception, and into the hearts of their guests. They chose to keep their reception traditional, opting  to wear only black and white. Though they kept it traditional, their reception was full of flavor. The couple incorporated polka dots and splashes of yellow throughout their decor.  The centerpieces were made of fresh, full yellow roses accented by hand tied polka dot ribbons. On each table the Bride and Groom placed “Fact Cards.” A thoughtful gesture intended for the out-of-town guests to learn something new about the couple. Each guest was favored with a small glass jar filled to the brim with cheerful lemon head candies. The final, perfect detail came as the Becca and Derek escaped from their reception through a tunnel made of bubble blowing friends and family wishing them an abundance of love and joy throughout their new life together.

Meet Erika and Chase. A classy, sassy couple with a knack for adventure. This couple knew they wanted to bring lots of personal flair into their wedding day. They chose a  color palate of pale creams, grays, and dusty rose. Almost all wedding decor was handmade. From the fabric boutonnieres and hand painted picture frames, to the naturally crafted vases and fabric draped backdrops.

The reception featured a guest photo booth and scrapbook sign-in table, where guests shared special advice and memories with the new Bride and Groom. Keeping with the classy vintage theme, Erika and Chase served their guests hot coco and an array of candies and treats from their “Sweets Shop.” Throughout the evening, guests indulged themselves rich vintage style, sweet candies, and the classy ambiance.

There is something so charming and personal about backyard weddings! For Bride and Groom, Tatum and Collin their wedding was a dream come true. They chose to celebrate their wedding in the backyard of Tatum’s childhood home.

It was an afternoon affair. Tatum and Collin chose bright, spunky colors, yellow and orange, to bring to their reception a splash of personality. The Bride and Groom envisioned their reception being an event where friends and family would come to mingle, enjoy, and eat ice cream! The couple constructed a handmade ice cream stand where the guests could frequent as often as their taste for ice cream would permit.

Upon entering the celebration, guests were greeted with brightly colored buttons. Each button had a characteristic of the bride or groom printed on it. The guests where then instructed to select a button that  represented something they had in common with the bride and groom, and wear it throughout the evening. You’ll almost feel apart of the wedding as you sift through this couple’s pictures. They’re full of pure delight!
