12+ Months: Select a wedding date and reserve your venue. Finalize your budget. Envision overall wedding theme.
8 to 10 Months: Reserve your tables, chairs, dance floor, tent, and arch. Purchase your wedding gown. Contact and book with your floral shop, DJ, photographer, and caterer.
6 to 8 Months: Send your save-the-date cards. Shop for bridesmaids dresses.
4 to 6 Months: Begin planning your honeymoon. Purchase wedding bands. Order wedding cake.
3 Months: Hire professional to hand-write invitation addresses. Order groomsmen formalware. Hire wedding day transportation.
2 Months: Send invitations. Book hair and make-up stylist. Order wedding program.
1 Month: Apply for marriage license. Final dress fitting. Finalize last minute details with vendors, including photographer and DJ.
1 to 3 Weeks: Plan reception seating chart. Finalize with professional hand-writing place and table cards, or print your own. Give a list of all placement details, as well as schedule of the day’s events to venue manager, wedding planner and/or family members in charge.
The Day Before: Attend ceremony rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.
Wedding Day: Give wedding bands to maid of honor and best man. Enjoy each other.
Post-Wedding: Write thank you cards. Return any rented items and formalware.
